Dr.
Debra G. Carlton is the Associate Medical Director of Clinical Affairs with
Kaiser Permanente in Atlanta and a practicing physician in
Internal Medicine. She was named Physician of the Year by Kaiser
Permanente in 1998 and Administrative Physician of the Year
in 2005. She will discuss the biochemistry of stress and its
impact on our health, key stressors including lack of sleep,
poor diet, lack of exercise, and will provide recommendations
for healthier living.
Dr.
Pauline Rose Clance is the author of "The Imposter Phenomenon and Overcoming
the Fears that Haunt Your Success." She has appeared on
The Today Show and Nightline, and has been featured in Time
Magazine and The New York Times. She will discuss the psychological
effects of stress including self-doubt, lack of confidence,
panic attacks, why women are prone to the "Imposter Syndrome," and
what we can do to remain psychologically health.
Dr. Hilda
Y. Hutcherson is
co-director of the New York Center for Women's Sexual Health
at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She is the author
of What Your Mother Never Told You about
S-E-X and the soon-to-be-released,
Pleasure. She was named one of America's leading physicians
by Black Enterprise magazine, and has monthly columns in Essence
and Glamour. She is featured in the December issue of O
Magazine.
She will discuss women's sexuality and the stress that can
result from unhealthy or unsatisfactory sexual experiences.
Dr. Wanda Lopez is
a doctor of chiropractic medicine and a health coach.
She sees a variety of patients, ranging form professional
athletes to business executives, such as Martha Stewart.
Dr. Lopez also specializes in massage therapy, Kinesiology
and Yoga, and is a devotee of Pilates. She will
discuss specific stress points in the body and how our
physical work life and other activity can exacerbate
stress issues. We will show a clip of Dr. Wanda's
on-air appearance with Martha
Stewart Living on "Healthy
Backs."
