After the daily joys and sometimes grind of shouldering career advancement requirements, family demands (whether married or not, with or without children) board service obligations and the like, how do we avoid winding up in the ‘lost and found?’ Are there special considerations for women of color in balancing personal and professional needs? Do we have the same ‘on/off ramp’ career opportunities as other colleagues in climbing the corporate/organization ladder? These and other important life and career management balance questions will be put-on-the table for honest dialogue, debate and solution building in this first WorkStyle-LifeStyle leadership seminar.

Springboard – Partners in Cross Cultural Leadership develops and delivers cross cultural leadership curriculum, coaching and consulting to build effective leaders of all cultures. We partner with companies to create leadership and innovation potential of your entire team to realize more bottom-line value to your employees, clients and shareholders. Pamela Carlton and Sweet Joy Hacheula bring a combined 30 years of professional experience and cross cultural leadership from corporate and non profit America to the critical issues of work and life fulfillment. Springboard's engagements include a number of Fortune 1000 companies.

The Center for Women Policy Studies is a Washington-based national women’s policy organization founded in 1972. Ms. Tucker provides leadership to several Center initiatives, including the programs that examine connections among women's employment options, economic status and family roles.

She served as the Project Director for the Center’s groundbreaking research with women of color at Fortune 1000 companies, resulting in the report, No More “Business As Usual” Women of Color in Corporate America:

Finding: While most women of color (70 percent) report feeling proud to work for their companies, only one-third would recommend their company to a friend based on management’s commitment to diversity.

Finding: Only two in five (39 percent) would recommend their company based on management’s willingness to help employees balance work/life responsibilities.
