Black Enterprise Magazine, December 2004 — After 20 years in investment banking, Pamela Carlton, president, founded Springboard - Partners in Cross Cultural Leadership to provide leadership training to professionals who may have missed the all important leadership skill development early in their organizations. September, 2004 — Drawing more than a thousand of the nation's best and brightest women of color, this conference, by all accounts the first-ever leadership conference for women of diverse ethnic backgrounds to be held at an historically Black college or major university, met with unprecedented success.

February, 2004 — On October 9, 2003, Spelman College launched its Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement (Spelman LEADS). Founding co-directors, Pamela Carlton and Kimberly Davis were instrumental in creating LEADS, a research institute for women of color dedicated to leadership development, economic empowerment, advocacy, dialogue and service learning.

January 25, 2005 — Springboard Leadership, a nationally-recognized cross cultural leadership development company today announced the appointment of David A. Klassen as consultant specialist for ethical leadership and diversity coaching. Klassen brings more than 25 years of multi-cultural line management experience to the team. In his new role, Klassen will focus on Springboard’s Corporate Intergroup Dialogue training program, as well as individual and team coaching.
