The Springboard Consulting Model
The most experienced leaders understand the value of gaining objective insight into perceptions and beliefs of employees throughout their organizations. Springboard’s partners have wide-ranging experience as global business leaders and problem solvers, and are adept at identifying and quantifying disconnects between the C-suite and your workforce. With deep experience as cross cultural facilitators, researchers and executive coaches, we serve as trusted advisors guiding senior management teams on how to develop cross cultural leadership to drive profitability and global competitiveness.
Springboard employs a proprietary consulting model to guide senior management in achieving leadership, culture, and organizational goals. This model includes:
- Comprehensive Culture Assessments
- Executive and Team Coaching
- Leadership Curriculum
Assessing corporate culture to unlock the value of values
What drives business success, and how can it be replicated across new ventures, operations or geographies? What aspects of the culture support or hinder retention of senior women and minorities? How do we combine cultures and maximize success in a merger or acquisition situation? These are some of the management challenges our clients have asked us to assess and help them resolve. The Springboard Culture Assessment, like a 360 degree assessment for your organization is the critical first step to identify the hidden and sometimes contradictory beliefs and values of an organization that drive the day-to-day actions taken by leaders and their management teams. Springboard has a proprietary six-sigma-based assessment model that quantifies interview data to identify how companies conduct business, build leaders, and serve their customers. And we present confidential interview data in a bar chart that business and HR leaders resonate with.
How Do Culture Assessments Work? Like a 360° Assessment for your company
The Intercultural Development Inventory Assessment Tool
While the Springboard Culture Assessment, discussed above, is ideal for describing, understanding and diagnosing team and organization culture generally, the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is a unique assessment tool designed to measure the cultural intelligence of individual leaders and the group as a whole.
The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is an empirical measure of “intercultural sensitivity” developed by C. Milton J. Bennett, Ph.D. and the Intercultural Communication Institute in Portland, Oregon. Springboard has worked with the Intercultural Communications Institute in applying the IDI to corporate executives and teams.
The IDI is helpful in the following situations:
- A corporate manager is experiencing difficulties in leading a diverse team, and wants to do improve the team environment and team dynamics. The IDI will generate individual and team scores identifying the issues potentially limiting the manager and team performance.
- A company has recently completed a merger and several divisions are experiencing challenges in integrating new teams and individuals from the acquired company.
- Top management of a company wants to develop a diversity program or determine the effectiveness of the current diversity program. The IDI will aid in diagnosing the current state of cultural intelligence in the company, division by division, and target the program design that will move people towards more competence in this area.
Improve leaders’ cultural intelligence skills:
The score and profile produced by the IDI provides a guideline for creating individual development plans to increase cultural competence. The profile is particularly useful for executive coaching on individual and team integration issues.
